KNFM will fulfill its social responsibility to help our society move toward a better future by establishing a sustainable ESG system making the environment, human rights and ethical management as our main tasks.

Environmental

In order to pursue environmental management, KNFM establishes the environmental management policy as follows.

  1. We recognize risk factors related to the environmental impact of business activities, and continuously promote environmental pollution accident prevention measures.
  2. Comply with relevant domestic and international environmental and health and safety laws, international agreements, and local government ordinances and rules.
  3. We set the followings as key management items which will be the basis for setting environmental safety goals, and continuously improve them.
  • Minimize scarp generated from product cutting process and always try to find the way of increasing recycling volume.
  • We actively strive to save energy and reduce pollutants throughout the entire process of producing, selling, using, and disposing of products.
  • We prevent any possible air, water, and soil pollution that may occur during the transportation and strive to reduce greenhouse gases.
  • We comply with the Chemical Substances Management Act all time and periodically check any possible environmental impacts.

Social

KNFM establishes the following social management policy to respect the human rights of all executives and employees and contribute to the development of the local community.

  1. We create and continuously improve a safe and pleasant working environment for the health of our employees.
  2. We prohibit discrimination or harassment based on gender, nationality, race, disability, etc. and respect diversity.
  3. We actively carry out activities for continuous employment creation and community development.
  4. Accurately identify the origin and smelter information for all conflict minerals (tin, cobalt, tungsten, etc.), and periodically update RMI data to avoid selling or using minerals from conflict areas.

Sustainable Management

KNFM establishes the following management policy to create a sustainable business environment.

  1. We establish and train a Code of Ethics to provide executives and employees with standards for right decision-making and ethical judgement.
  2. We do not request or receive any kinds of financial transactions from any interested parties.
  3. We protect the company’s tangible and intangible assets and treat important information as confidential.
